Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma. Get a sense of the local culture at Temppeliaukio Church and Katajanokka. There's lots more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kamppi Chapel of Silence, and buy something for everyone on your list at Kamppi Shopping Centre.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Elan Ski Shop & Rental and LUVATTUMAA - Levi Ice Gallery. Escape the urban bustle at Levi Ski Resort and Yllas Ski Resort. Take a break from Levi with a short trip to Safartica Yllas in Yllasjarvi, about 48 minutes away.

You can fly from Helsinki to Levi in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Helsinki in December, things will get a bit cooler in Levi: highs are around -6°C and lows about -15°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Rovaniemi.
