Surfing remains the main reason to take a trip to Tamarindo, as the beachside town is mostly known for its excellent waves.
Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Thu): stop by Azul Profundo Boutique and then relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers. Keep things going the next day: get the adrenaline pumping with an extreme tour and then kick back and relax at Playa Avellana.

Getting from Uvita to Tamarindo by combination of bus and flight takes about 5.5 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and flight. In February, plan for daily highs up to 93°F, and evening lows to 71°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 24th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
