Athens of the Spree
The country's capital and largest city, Berlin is a diverse urban center boasting a lively nightlife and countless things to do.Discover out-of-the-way places like Berlin-Hohenschonhausen Memorial and German Museum of Technology. Get some historical perspective at Potsdam's Gardens and Sanssouci Palace. When in Berlin, make a side trip to see Sanssouci Park in Potsdam, approximately Potsdam away. There's still lots to do: browse the different shops at Mall of Berlin, see the interesting displays at Stasi Museum, don't miss a visit to Gendarmenmarkt, and take a stroll through Mitte.

Manchester, UK to Berlin is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also take a train; or do a combination of car and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Manchester to Berlin. You'll have a few hours on the 12th (Thu) to wrap things up before traveling to Amsterdam.
