One of Germany’s most prolific centers for the arts, Bayreuth today offers a rich mixture of history, both physical and cultural.

Kick off your visit on the 13th (Mon): sample the tasty concoctions at Maisel's Bier-Erlebnis-Welt, then explore the fascinating underground world of Sophienhohle, then step into the grandiose world of Hermitage Castle (Altes Schloss Ermitage), and finally steep yourself in history at New Castle.
