Siewdass Sadhu's Temple in The Sea, Trinidad
Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Founded in 1995, Siewdass Sadhu's Temple in The Sea remains the only temple in Trinidad found resting on the water. Interestingly, oil drums filled with concrete form the foundations, tied together with steel. Flags surround the single central dome, all with different colors and meanings. Step inside the small white building to find different vibrantly colored Hindu deities. Beautifull temple to visit. Walking towards the temple , authomaticly calms you down. When you reach the temple you immidiately experience how peacefull and quiet the place is.
always a marvel to visit, great parking, nice serene atmosphere, perfect place to relax.
Although historical and the locals and swami try their best, the place needs help with up keep. Can be a very gorgeous and enlightening place of how Trinidadians and Tobagonians live in religious harmony.
Built by hand over 25 years by one man. That is devotion.
