Argyle Waterfall, Scarborough
(4.1/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
Cool off under Argyle Waterfall, Tobago's highest cataract. The water drops 54 m (175 ft) down three separate tiers of the cliff face, in an area of lush green foliage. Park at the visitor center and make the 20-minute trek to the fall. The clearly signposted route takes you through an attractive wooded area, and you'll hear the rush of the water before you reach it. Explore the three tiers of the waterfall, cooling off in each pool as you go. The bottom pool--the smallest and deepest--provides the best place for swimming. • After a short walk (as periodically apparently can be quite gooey) lom we arrive at the beautiful waterfall. We took no guided tour and I don't think we missed anything special. It is not hard to find. Below there is a small case, where it is possible to swim. It was pretty deep fast, but our 4-year-old thought it was really nice to dabble on the edge. Nice and cool!
