Maracas Falls, Port of Spain

Categories: National Parks, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.6/5 based on 60+ reviews on the web
Visit Maracas Falls, El Salvador's highest waterfall, which sits at an altitude of 91.5 m (300 ft). Cascading down a rock face abundant with patches of lush green vegetation, the waterfall forms no pool at the bottom, a result of its altitude. Tables and chairs sit in the surrounding area, creating a great picnic spot within tranquil scenery. Reach the fall by following a trail that starts at the red flamboyant tree, crossing two gentle streams and slippery rock. Take good hiking shoes to traverse the terrain.
