  • The lock, the rich past of yesteryear, during an art and antiques fair we were able to look around in the central part. Grand staircases and a large space under the roof, on floors beautifully decorated rooms. The most stunning is the entrance, if you comes from Zeist to walk/(drive in your coach) you see in the distance the lock all lamps mighty and wonderful!

  • Old Castle, built in the late 17th century. We saw it when travelling from Utrecht to Amersfoort. The territory is big enough, well groomed. The castle itself has recently been refurbished. As we have learned here can even arrange Conference or presentation in the Hall of your choice. Unfortunately, the castle is only open on weekends, and we were on weekdays. But on weekdays here you can in advance to book a party, wedding, etc.-style Interiors of the Castle.

  • Tour was provided by a volunteer from the Guild's Zeist. A highly enjoyable and informative tour of a friendly guide with business sense. Top! Coffee in the restaurant in advance of the lock. Very bad experience with nonchalant and uninterested staff. After 3 times questions and vague promises and angry looks after more than 30 minutes we got our coffee without excuses. What a pity!!

  • There's a lot of history to be learned here at this picturesque castle. It's certainly worth a visit to see the outside, and perhaps pop in to the cafe for a coffee. The interior is a bit disappointing; somewhat dilapidated with little classical furniture, it just feels empty and falling apart. The only reason to pay a visit would be on one of the many musical performances, as the acoustics are warm and fitting. The cafe misses atmosphere with plain wooden tables and chairs in two echoing and noisy rooms.
  • A beautiful castle with loads of history, A must see if you come to Zeist. It's located at about a 10-15 minute walk from the village center. On you're way down to the castle make sure to visit the old city hall, which has wonderful architectural feats.
  • Wonderful flea market

  • Very nice area for a stroll. Pleasant surroundings. It has a cafeteria in the gates of the Castle.

  • Interesting exposition about the Treaty of Utrecht, but the catering was very bad. The service in the bistro was very slow and in addition, we had used a discount action, but who turned out to be suddenly no longer be valid. We had the so-called regular coffee instead of latte machiatto should take. Shame!
