Just a short train ride away from Amsterdam, Zandvoort aan Zee is a clean beach and resort area located along the North Sea. The waters are shallow and appropriate for swimming, making this beach a great spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Rent a cabana for a bit of protection from the sun, or go for a walk on the sand. The promenade lining the beach offers a variety of bars, restaurants, and food carts where you can try some of the local fried seafood. Check the forecast ahead of time, as the wind can be strong in inclement weather. Put Zandvoort aan Zee into our Zandvoort vacation route planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.
