  • The House of the family Mondrian. A lot of interesting information about the painter and nice to see the development to the world famous painting. Friendly and helpful staff: a must

  • In this villa in the Centre of Winterswijk is the world famous Piet Mondrian grew up. Between his 8th and 18th, he was the oldest son in a strict Calvinist family, in which men (?), en his uncle Frits, his father, had the necessary talent for the Visual Arts. Now there are the necessary youth to see works of Piet Mondrian, which in fact all works of beginners. Interesting to see welek long way this guy has made of his nationalistic-religious origin to the abstractions of the end of his life. It is all he has painted relatively emotionless naruurlijk-by its enormous emphasis on form-maybe it was also a good mathematician Piet. The museum is in any case interesting-also by the input of the Hague gemeentemuseum.

  • Works of Piet Mondrian, his father and his uncle in his childhood home in Winterswijk. Well set up, but it would be good to include a few of his later works. Therefore it was the movie of the gemeentemuseum in the Hague with a summary over his really needed. Also the paintings that writer Komrij in his life had collected were interesting, including a few works of father and daughter Toorop. Definitely worth a visit. The audio tour, which at the entrance 9 euros heard, was bright. There was also a hot drink. Too bad the Museum map here is not valid.

  • nice collection, gives a fair picture of the start time and the environment where Mondriaan started. There are guided tours but it's also fun to discover everything yourselves
