  • Peat, potato flour, a swinging Veendam, strawboard, Dan Meis, the HBS: from the past to the present: what a nice museum. Enjoyed the cinema room, the class photos, the shop, too many to mention. Very worth it.

  • We had such high expectations but it was not surprisingly interesting. Especially the cinema is fun.

  • Been here many times with school, in particular the old Dutch sweets shop is fun. Many 3d photos, interactive videos and the like. It remains a nice museum.

  • A surprising discovery in Veendam! A museum with a varied layout. Not just about turf, but also straw (cardboard), shipping, life at the beginning of the 20th century and of course not to forget Winkler Prins.
