  • A separate experience to a Christmas market to visit in a cave. Nice to have to do this once, but I'll gladly go back there for the caves without Christmas market. Hopefully we get around the crowds and long lines!

  • I have to admit: I was there on Tuesday in the afternoon, may have made the small number of visitors at that time that I found it very boring. It is separately because you go through the caves-course runs, where you will find the stalls in niches with merchandise. I found the offered where generally not distinguished enough little exciting and the level of a rummage sale. After this visit, I drove to Maastricht, where I was a lot happier of the Christmas market on the Vrijthof.

  • Definitely worth it to take a tour with a guide through the Velvet cave in Valkenburg. It is exciting, interesting and educational. The only pity is that you must discover the ruins/castle on its own initiative. The view of Valkenburg from the ruins is magnificent. Then the terrace in the Centre to unwind.
