  • Definitely a must see, you can also eat at the entrance. The explanation on the signs in the ruin are some boring, but there is a lot to see.

  • On a beautiful spring day we had an afternoon to visit the castle ruins. This turned out to be a bit overconfident: after an hour (including reading the signs) we had seen everything. It's a beautiful ruin, very interesting, but we were missing though basic explanation despite the signs. Why is this castle there (this info only came half way through)? Where would the tower that they describe than? With good explanation from the beginning and a guide or audio tour would ruin much more attractive. What very disappointed is, is that people really anywhere in the stones have scratched their names, and so on.

  • The only castle built on a hill in Netherlands. Learn about history and very nice view, you can see the city of Valkenburg from top!  more »
