Where to stay in Utrecht

As a major cultural and economic center, Utrecht has more than its fair share of centrally located hotels oriented towards business travelers visiting the city for a day or two. To stay longer without spending too much on a comfortable room, consider a self-catering apartment or guesthouse near the city's main train station. You can also explore the residential neighborhoods' family-run hostels, which offer simply furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi within walking distance of good restaurants and shops.

  • A nice place to see the history of Christianity in Netherlands. Interesting artifacts displayed. The treasury part is really worth a visit. Free for Museum card houlders
  • Quite a collection! A beautiful range of paintings in varied styles. Captures all the wealth of the church, so much gold and fine clothing!
  • Interesting place for those interested in religious artefacts, some great art and sculptures. Spent a good part of the morning wondering around the various displays, and found loads to interest me. Was well worth the visit
  • Great museum for art lovers. You don't expect to see such versatile collection in a former convent. Both main and temporary exhibitions are worth visiting.
  • Nice and quiet, has many catholic pieces, but also protestant ones.
