Where to stay in Utrecht

As a major cultural and economic center, Utrecht has more than its fair share of centrally located hotels oriented towards business travelers visiting the city for a day or two. To stay longer without spending too much on a comfortable room, consider a self-catering apartment or guesthouse near the city's main train station. You can also explore the residential neighborhoods' family-run hostels, which offer simply furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi within walking distance of good restaurants and shops.

  • This is an excavation site on the heart of Utrecht, which you can get in and learn what has been found from when the Romans first established here to present time. This is an on going self funded initiative, very enthusiastically hosted by volunteers. My wife and I stumbled on it and we had a great time.
  • Interrensting attraction, very nice 3D animations within the tour.
  • Went there without any expectations. I'm not a person that's too kin on museums but this place is really good and enjoyable.
  • Great staff and interesting history.
  • Nice way of telling the local history.
