Where to stay in Utrecht

As a major cultural and economic center, Utrecht has more than its fair share of centrally located hotels oriented towards business travelers visiting the city for a day or two. To stay longer without spending too much on a comfortable room, consider a self-catering apartment or guesthouse near the city's main train station. You can also explore the residential neighborhoods' family-run hostels, which offer simply furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi within walking distance of good restaurants and shops.

  • My experience was very good from this museum. We saw a lot of things we learn soms and we even participated by finding a title for a painting for example. A nice hour to spend your time in the city.  more »
  • This museum is made up of a number of different objects that cover Utrecht's history. To give some examples: A Medieval ship lies reserved in the basement. Dirck Brunna's studdio has been reassembled ...  more »

  • a must go in Utrecht! impress building and collections! carefully designed orientations and nice intro flyer and audio guide! just loved it and would visit it again :) and also a nice courtyard coffee, don't miss it~
  • We enjoyed the special Jugenstijl exhibit as well as the other exhibits and the building complex itself, which was historically religious. The glass café is a relaxing place with abundant natural light and views into the garden.
  • This museum is worth a visit. The building itself is beautiful already, and they have some awesome collections and installations. Oh, and don't forget to go to the basement.
  • The building is really nice and well maintained. We did manage to get lost as there are many floors and stairs. The art was not to my liking but I can't fault the museum for that.
  • Well curated. They even have De Stijl chairs for visitor to try sitting on.
