  • A museum earned some more attention. Was pointed out by others. Exhibition ' the art of reading. By William Kentridge to Wikipedia ' of 18 november 2017 through 4 March 2018. Definitely true. To see the collection of the Baron. Atmospheric residence to museum the Meermanno Museum is housed in the former home of baron Van Westreenen van Tiellandt (1783-1848). The name Chicago recalls two persons meeting the pioneers of this museum. The most important is Baron w. h. j. van Westreenen van Tiellandt (1783-1848) which brought together in this House an extensive collection of books. His cousin and important inspirator, Johan Meerman (1751-1815), also possessed an impressive book collection, part of which was eventually included in the collection of Villavicencio. After the death of Van Westreenen attacked the House and collection to the State. In 1852 the House was opened as a museum.

  • Handsome exhibition on read. It was quiet in the museum. Read about the exhibition is clever in each other. It is a difficult subject. Fortunately if you touch all the books.

  • Really nice. The museum is inside of two old buildings that they are connected to each other. Every 3 months or so they have a different book exhibition. The lady at the receptionist super sweet and the garden behind was really beautiful. It includes a variety of miniature books that looks so cute and the cafe downstairs is so relaxing. It has a room for the kids to paint and play as well. I really liked it
  • One of my favorite spots because of the large garden in the back and because the themes are always related to books and I love viewing books. The books and gifts in the museum shop are unique and suitable for adults and children.
  • Partly nice museum, old stuff is nice, interactive/modern part boring. But that's just me :-) Been here for two hours, more than expected..
  • The best writing workshop I've ever had! It's on the third floor, hosted by their hospitable staff, offering you a comprehensive understanding about how ancient books are produced and its tremendous value. You can write your own : )
  • You want to know the history of book? This is the place. Ancient artfacts including momies
