  • First time in the museum itself explanation of a number of paintings of the once, in the Hague, so sought-after portrait painter Jan van Ravesteyn. Then walk through the old Den Haag with explanation about the houses, buildings and the streets that were important in the life of the painter and his family. After coffee/tea with a delicious pastry. A fun and educational afternoon organized by the the Hague historical Museum!

  • It felt pretty underwhelming. It's not even a third the size of the one in amsterdam. The exposition about the jewish in the hague was almost bigger then the one about the history of the town.
  • I particularly appreciate the last room dedicated to the different generations of immigrants who arrived in The Hague after WWII!
  • Small museum about the history of the Hague. It uses paintings and artefacts to tell the story, but there are significant gaps and the structure of the exhibitions is not always clear.
  • History of The Hague, well designed
