  • On the advice of a good friend I defied the cold and went on a trip to the Hague. What a beautiful exhibition form the numerous photos of Michael Wolf, which he made in "big cities". A surprising look on, among other things, Hong Kong: the huge often colorful flats with laundry to racks everywhere, with occasional also a glimpse into the residents or users you surprises! But also the rooftops of Paris in beautiful images captured from high altitude, very special. Of the works of art recently graduates at the Hague art school you get a nice picture of the contemporary young artists today. This museum you should not miss! The coffee with a Maison Cellar hazelnut pastry make you (mid) day out completely.

  • In addition to the gemeentemuseum in the Hague is the photo museum, of which especially the Brasserie area Gem from the street side stands out. In this modern cube with split level floors is currently an exhibition of photographer Michael Wolf. Special pictures (Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris) that are presented in a beautiful way. E.g. The 3 at the 3 m studios where whole families live in, each time from the same perspective photographed and presented in the same studio. Also the floating hung photos of monotonous apartment buildings make impression in Hong Kong. The 30 second photos are very surprising. An artist who is not getting the same successful trick repeats, but continues to renew itself. Very worth it.

  • The photographer has spent years among other things in Hong Kong and Paris lived and there pictures made of residential towers, corner flats, roofs. Alienating, imposing and voting to reflection about life in metropolises. Also the the Hong Kong pictures of interiors of and with people with all have and keep on 9 (!) square meters are confronting. And all in a sublime image quality. Recommended!
