  • Beautiful building in which mostly old and experienced men talk very slowly about politics and policy. The whole thing is topped off by the sweet smell of incontinence.
  • The first Chamber of the States-General of the Netherlands, short first Chamber or Senate, constitutes, together with the second room, the States General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The room has 75 seats. The members are elected for four years by the members of the provincial States of all the provinces. Compared to the second Room, the First Room less rights and powers. The members of the Senate basically just one day a week (on Tuesday) to bills that have already been adopted by the House of representatives, to discuss further. They pay attention primarily on the technical sides of the proposal: the soundness of the law and the consistency with other laws.

  • A very attractive building. Absolutely worth a visit. It is a historical building where asked the States of Holland lived and where until recently the Cabinet formation has taken place. The plenary hall with its green banks is known for the large dictation of the Dutch language. The ceiling is painted with beautiful people from all sorts of walks of life. They look just like Willem 2 along with what happened. Recently pulled the last occupant out of the building. On Tuesdays the Senate.

  • You do not necessarily have to be interested in politics here have a look. However, an interest in paintings is useful. Why? The ceiling is completely covered with works of art. Great and cool, with a nice view on the Hofvijver.
