  • Went there for the Ghengis Khan exhibition in the first place and also saw a big part of the rest. It is good for children too and they have some interactive things for them in a separate area. Older ...  more »
  • Recently visited. You can spend a whole day there. Surprisingly beautiful, fun and educational museum. Beautiful tanks and planes that are good. 2 locations where you can enjoy a snack and a drink. Ample and free parking. There are lockers where you can store your stuff in (free) it was hot there so that was a plus. If he has not previously been there are definitely worth it, however after 1 time to have been have you also seen.

  • A recently opened museum, which gives an overview of the armed forces in the last centuries there is plenty of parking space and via the bridge to get to t museum you can also go for the bridge right off and then the external aircraft also allows you to see the assault course of vote but good if you enter you come to the first floor where you via yellow arrows by t whole museum. Halfway there a coffee corner On the ground floor are all kinds of military vehicles lined up and there is a temporary exhibition there is also a somewhat more generous catering anywhere in t museum are volunteers-often old soldiers-you can explain everything you can with a lift to the 6th floor, where a lookout tower is where you're sure in good weather and great views. You can then see the dom in Utrecht the museum itself is very good wheelchair access there is something for everyone with lots of interactive items actually half a day were not enough to see all lots of fun

  • This museum is really cool, even if you are not that much into military stuff. Their permanent story-line exhibit is the best, including lots of cool digital gadgets, but also with great info and moving stories. There's the cool old planes and helicopters downstairs, and a big hall with kids games. Great café and service, wonderfully kind staff. Don't forget to climb to the top floor tower (take the elevator to 6), and enjoy the views! If you're from/staying in Utrecht: it's a great bike trip, and you can enjoy the beaaautiful scenery around the museum. Only downside: temporary exhibitions not so great.
  • I am not a fan of military things but I went there because of a exhibition about Genghis Khan and Mongol Empire and I must admit that I am totally amused by how the exhibit has been displayed. Totally recommended.
  • Recommend to visit if you are a fan of military planes and vehicles. Some a the planes are hanging in "flight mode" which is impressive. Very interactive.
  • Absolutely fantastic museum, and I've been to a number of military museums internationally. Attention to detail, maintenance of exhibits, presentation, interactivity… exceptional! Be sure to sit down in the barista café on the second floor and let the museum quietly surround you with a fantastic cup of coffee. In the middle of the dunes and forest of Soest, this museum cannot be missed!
  • Awesome museum... Great to bring your kids. (+6years)
