An interesting museum, especially (obviously) of you're interested in ships and/or the nautic world. The museum is concentrated on traditional Frysian ships. It's also much bigger then I expected it to be. The service is splendid. They warmed my formula for my baby. And the first cup of tea/coffee is free of charge in the small restaurant. They don't sell lunch, but the museum is located right in the centre of Sneek. The museum is wheelchair / pram accessible. There's also a wonderful, spacious section for children. They will have a blast trying things out and learning at the same time. I will return here when my kid is old enough.
Excellent museum, well worth a visit.
Wil van LondenNice museum with many models of boats on scale. Personally if I had expected more of sailor, for example people or movies that show how ships are or were built and rigs and sails.show original
Justus MerksRecommended. I didn't expect the collection so griot was. So put some hour or three out. Tasty free Cup of coffee. I'm going back.show original
AnonymousWith our grandson of almost 4 years has enjoyed. In a real gig at the helm and to pull shots. Behind shutters look. Digital control a ship. Make a great big puzzle of a sailboat. Catch fish. Draw a trekschuit. Too much to mention. Educational and playful. : Omi every morning we go again to the museum? What great that children that way on their own age are addressed.show original
