  • Frisian maritime museum is a fun museum to an hour to walk around. It gives a nice overview about shipping history in this region. We think it is a must.

  • It is a museum in 3 older buildings, connected by a modern middle section. The museum has period rooms, a lot of history and of Sneek and a Division with model ships. There is no parking space at the museum, so the car must be parked somewhere else.

  • In this museum there is really much to see. On previous trade, shipbuilding, sailing ships, fishing ships, land and people. Particularly liked the style rooms have prepared in a timely manner and attention to detail me. Highlight for the little ones: there is an extra children's Museum in the 1.Stock. Quasi Museum to the 'touch'. Small ships are built and there is a lot to discover and try out. Admission is 6 euros per person for adults. Children up to 5 years free, reduced from 6 years. On a rainy day, you can make that time.

  • Lots and lots of boat models. Comprehensive collection. No English signage.
  • An interesting museum, especially (obviously) of you're interested in ships and/or the nautic world. The museum is concentrated on traditional Frysian ships. It's also much bigger then I expected it to be. The service is splendid. They warmed my formula for my baby. And the first cup of tea/coffee is free of charge in the small restaurant. They don't sell lunch, but the museum is located right in the centre of Sneek. The museum is wheelchair / pram accessible. There's also a wonderful, spacious section for children. They will have a blast trying things out and learning at the same time. I will return here when my kid is old enough.
  • Excellent museum, well worth a visit.
  • Something with boats

  • Nice museum with many models of boats on scale. Personally if I had expected more of sailor, for example people or movies that show how ships are or were built and rigs and sails.
