  • it is ok to visit this museum, but you expect more. It is not free and you have to pay an entrance fee of 7.50 euros, which i do not understand if you want to promote your city as a government or tour...  more »
  • This is where you have to go if you love boats. The models are glorious. So much work went into them. The 'Zwaards' are just beautiful. Artificial keels to stabilise a flat bottom boat. They give the ...  more »
  • Lots and lots of boat models. Comprehensive collection. No English signage.
  • An interesting museum, especially (obviously) of you're interested in ships and/or the nautic world. The museum is concentrated on traditional Frysian ships. It's also much bigger then I expected it to be. The service is splendid. They warmed my formula for my baby. And the first cup of tea/coffee is free of charge in the small restaurant. They don't sell lunch, but the museum is located right in the centre of Sneek. The museum is wheelchair / pram accessible. There's also a wonderful, spacious section for children. They will have a blast trying things out and learning at the same time. I will return here when my kid is old enough.
  • Excellent museum, well worth a visit.
  • Fun and informative museum in the city centre of Sneek. The museum is housed in some older buildings. Nevertheless, the museum is easily accessible for people with reduced mobility. The museum displays many ship models and other business, which with Sneek and Friesland. There are also a number of period rooms furnished from the past.
