  • This certainly isn't the Harburg Sydney Bridge, more large bridge in the world, nor the Erasmusbrug flagship of Dutch bridges which delighted him the star since 1996, but the Willemsbrug inaugurated in 1878 has long dominated the landscape of Rotterdam. Named in honor of King Guillaume III (Willem III) who reigned in the Netherlands at the time of the inauguration. Bright red Recalling the Golden Gate in San Francisco, visible from far away, spanning the river Nieuwe Maas (branch of the Meuse), it connects the neighborhoods North and South of Rotterdam. It can be borrowed on foot, by bike or by car and allows for beautiful views of different parts of the city as well as the Erasmus bridge. A borrow absolutely preferably on foot or by bicycle during a stay in Rotterdam to complete her walk on the old port with a drink in front of Witte behind doors, the White House.

  • Not as popular as Erasmusbridge, Willemsbrug is nevertheless a nice piece of engineering, connecting Centrum with Fejenoord district. Its never jammed and offers great view on the river
  • From the bridge you have a nice view over the river Maas with something away the famous Erasmus bridge. It is also a good connection between the Nice Northern Island and the lively old port
