  • The entrance fee is € 23 P.p.. projects in the "Oceanium" started. The Aquarium is just beautiful and awful lot accommodates the fishing. The highlight is the tunnel in the shark pool. The Butterfly House is located in the theme area "Amazonica". Really impressive that they on their wings carry this variety of colors. Here we came especially in the Marvel and found as the rest. The conditioning of the giraffe of course immediately catches your eye. Of course there are also elephants, polar bears, Lions, Tigers, zebras, crocodiles and much more. Really impressive what change the Zoo has undergone since its existence, in the positive sense. Animal welfare at the top here. Even an insight in the veterinary practice and in the operating room is granted visitors. Very transparent! Can Zoo only recommend these!

  • I come all my life long in Blijdorp Zoo and it's the best that ever existed. I also subscribe to all my life and it is always great to go up there. You can go there with everyone, young and old. The staff is always very nice and super there is much to see and do. I would also definitely recommend everyone to go to the less crowded spots in the park and to before you go there the Blijdorp-app to download, so you can plan the route and can see if there are any specifics in the park.

  • Primarily on prices: adult 23 euros per person for children (from 3 to 11)-18.50 euro parking 5 € (payable when buying tickets) buy tickets from the vending machines at the box office. Inside for the child can take the Gurney. The zoo itself is divided into two areas, shared the railway (virtually silent). Impressed by the Aquarium and Butterfly Pavilion. Very much interactivity for kids-microscopes, tv shows, all sorts of quizzes, when feeding children allow you to throw birdseed. A huge Pavilion with butterflies that fly around the room, sit on the bowl, as can be seen from the cocoon the Butterfly are obtained. Around Zoo successfully placed restaurants. We were next to a large children's Indoor playground, restaurant prices are quite acceptable, bring order quickly. I advise you to visit the Zoo, very worthy place.

  • Having been to many zoos, this was the first time to Blijdorp. The zoo consists of two parts, the old part in town and the new part at the other side of the railway and which contains the entrance. The new part is nicely set up. It has a fantastic polar bear display, the aquarium is great and the wild and tame guinea pigs cute. The old part is being transformed and still has good displays, including the lions, tigers and elephants, as well as a great restaurant. Well worth the visit.
  • The best zoo I have visited. It is well maintained , the animals have a lot of space compared to other zoos, and there are places where visitors could observe them from very close distance. I went for the polar bears. It is the first time I see them in real live and they were impressive. I liked the penguins and how playful they become at feeding time. It is the first time I see so many giraffes at one place, it was the first time I see Okapis too. The gorillas were majestic. I spent 20 minutes just watching them play, eat and waiting for them to watch me in the eyes. And they did! The Aquarium is also very nice. The water tunnel is something that makes the entry fee worth. There are toilets, cafes, train shuttle that take you to both ends of the zoo. This place is great for people of all ages!
  • It was a fun experience for sure! There where a lot of animals you could see up close which makes for quite the experience. They also have a lot of different kind of animals. The zoo was clean, it is organized in my opinion. The restaurant had good food. When I was here it was freezing so a few animals where in their stables and couldn't be seen. So keep that in mind if you are planning on visiting this zoo. Most of the animals could be seen in their stables however.
  • It's a very nice zoo, probably the second nicest in the country. On the day I was there it was quite busy, it was a Saturday. What worked very well for us, to not be too limited by the busyness, was to not park at the main entrance. Parking at the main entrance will also cost you €11. If you park by the old entrance you pay about 1,70€ per hour (so it could get more expensive). But because less people start their day on that side of the zoo, you'll usually be at more quiet places.
  • Very nice zoo. Relatively large, with a diverse amount of animals. I enjoyed my time in Blijdorp. An inconvenience was that when exhibits are closed, which is logical in winter, the only notice given is a small sign on the door. This information could be provided in a more accessible way.
