  • I have long wanted to visit this museum. I had honestly expected more. It focuses on the youth to a year or 12. For them it is certainly nice by the interactive character of 2 floors. What for the older visitor is fun, the antique ships, outdoor in the port. I will visit again the high if there are small children.

  • Easily accessible and after visit in (or vice versa), you can make a detour and visit the outdoor museum. Also very suitable for children.

  • Four stars for the vessels outside. The museum itself it's not so interesting and stoked. A lot of spaces for few pieces. The cruise ship reproduction is very cheap stile and absolutely not stimulating.
  • Could be a really interesting museum, and probably is if you're Dutch. However, it seems like they forgot to translate half of the texts in the interior exhibitions. The boats outside aren't on the same location as indicated on the map, and again few to none explanations in English. The boat tour idem, no English. Still interesting to have a look at the inside of some boats.
  • If you're looking for more information about the city and it's historic marine ways, this is perfect. It gives a great view of the city as well!
  • Great for kids. Especially the upstairs outdoor play area.
  • Generally a bit of a let down for adults. Most of the displays inside are pretty elementary. I enjoyed walking around the harbor but all of the boats were locked so you are basically just looking at them from the docks. The museum hours say that it's open until 5:00 but I was told the harbor was closing at 4:00. There are luggage lockers inside the museum for travelers. The lockers just require a cash deposit.
