  • Worthwhile to wander through the museum viewing artifacts and memorials of the 1953 flood. Well done! An educational experience
  • A visit to the flood museum can not be missed during a weekend of Zeeland. The museum is housed in the old caissons which are still used for sealing of the dike during the dike break in 1953. It is very varied with audio clips, remaining objects, testimonies of children in the form of drawings, drafting, ... In addition to the disaster itself also attention for the reconstruction. In the end, you can also experience a disaster scenario with a virtual reality glasses. Totally worth it. After the visit to the museum we also have the Red walk through the creeks. Also very varied: creeks, birds, beach, ...

  • Fascinating place to visit and even more so as it is housed in the emergency cassions used to block the floods. If, like us, you have family that experienced the 1953 coastal floods in the UK seeing the devastating effects that the Dutch endured is quite shocking. But seeing the amount of resources expended to ensure it never happens again is amazing.
  • Modern and easy to navigate. The entire museum is located in the caissons that were used to close the gap in the dyke.
  • Really good organized museum which is really open. Also good for kids.
  • Opening time says till 5pm, but they actually close doors at 4:15pm, so we stood before closed doors.
  • Gewoon een echt goed museum!
