  • It is great to bike or walking across the Waal bridge to walk and cycle to the other bridges. Also Jekunt to the new bridge and enjoy the beautiful way of building where you can see the water very well and can feel the wind. It makes a really cosmopolitan city Nijmegen Schittered

  • The Waal bridge is a bridge that is worth to cross. He gives connection to the new island on the other side. With beautiful bicycle routes. Under this bridge to the Nijmegen side is a large car park with a port of refuge. Under the dry side of the bridge pillar are regular cultural events. In the summer you can relax on the beach to the right of the bridge. For your first bridge crosses read something about military action around this bridge in 1944. On the bridge arch is regularly written a declaration of love. Also be a actions held on the bow itself. It is never boring near the bridge the bridge is with remembrance day closed at 19.00 h. for wreath laying.

  • The most beautiful skyline of Netherlands (sorry Deventer, Zutphen and Maastricht) is the best from this bridge. And let's consider the bridge than but as a piece of heritage, Oh well there so see bridges.

  • Wow I am just so amazed I am blown away by this bridge never in my life have I been so in love wit h a bridge 10/10 would bridge again
  • The characteristic bridge for Nijmegen. One of the symbols of the city. From the bridge beautiful view over the city and the mirror Waal.
  • Great bridge and really is the local pride. Unfortunately up close, you can see it's worn and needs a complete overhaul/restoration that is due for a number of years now. I really hope they bring it back to it's old glory someday soon, then it would definitely be 5*.
  • Best waalbrug. Does great service but broke once in 1942 and it due to service.
  • Beautiful to walk across and around, especially with the new part of the waal being built for leisure.
