  • very interesting day out. it was too cold to do the tour with barefeet. you can go upstairs to have an amazing view of ameland. they had various rooms with a lot of info on; energy, animals etc.
  • Not a very good exhibition about nature on and around Ameland. Good description about the origin of the island and the factors on which they appeared. Lots of info about the flora and fauna.

  • The museum is really more of a visitors centre for schools. First we went to the aquarium, but there fell us very small aquariums were small and that the fish tremendously restless others may perceive you. The big aquarium is beautiful, but also there we saw something disturbing. A shark attacked and injured him another shark to life-threatening. The shark attacked was spinning on its axis and went after a time on its side on the bottom. When the moment came, was here no attention to. The man who gave explanation was also not at all passionate about the fish. He told us that the basin would be cleaned soon and that he hoped that some would impose large groupers, Bob, for they make it hard for the other fish food. During his explanation I mainly have to follow in German because his Dutch was unintelligible. The other rooms were interesting to get to know the nature of Ameland, but many displays were broken and in need of replacement. The entrance fee of 6.50 euro must certainly not be exalted.

  • Erg leuk museum
  • The natural centre of Ameland is an interesting museum about the flora and fauna of the island. In addition to stuffed animals, you can admire several aquariums with living North marine animals. Also inform the Museum about the history of the island. The lookout tower offers a great view over the island and the water playground is probably the highlight for the little ones.

  • I went here 3 years ago always. Now 3 years later I found it fun to go there once again. the price is for a nature center okay about 13 euros for 2 adults. But over the years there is not much changed and some parts were made and not repaired. Yet it remains a fun Center to Ameland know better
