  • As we have only a few hours before we had to get in the boat to Enkhuizen, we took the chance to visit this old bakery museum. The location is 5 minutes walk from the steam train station. It looks lik...  more »
  • The museum is small and exhibits are poorly presented. Neither adults nor kids in our group enjoyed it.  more »

  • With the ladies billiards chocolates and coffee with a delicious stuffed cake. Delicious museum, go back in time, demonstrations and you walk out the door for some old-fashioned cake and candy buy .... not to mention the delicious chocolate truffles .... mmmm

  • The museum began in 1985 on the occasion of an exhibition of the private collection of Cees de Boer. The farmer was itself bakker in Wadway and his greatest collection was a collection of Baker's stuff. His daughter and son in law Ans Theo pivot, also b, showed early 80 's parts of the collection in the antiquarian room, in the former orphanage of Medemblik. Later they founded together the museum. The museum first opened its doors in 1985 in the Garden Street. The property was a former butcher's shop. In 1988 the museum moved to the current premises on the rue Neuve, the cigar case to the front was rebuilt to bakers shop and the timmerfabriek at the back to bakery. On 4 February 1989 the museum opened the doors again.

  • Interesting and very committed employees. Cosy old-fashioned. Small but nice!

  • We brought recently visited this authentic museum. In our opinion, this museum is victim of its own success. Where to the idea there should be a lot of perception and attention of this ancient craft, we have experienced stress, tension and not so much the experience of the activities, but more only the organization. The water allowed the employees to the lips to keep all the balls high and everyone. The activities were assembly line work with hardly any attention of visitors so the process, but more focused on the product. Questions could only be answered because everything had to be effects to keep it running. We saw bakers with love and passion for the job, who would love to share and tell about this and wanted to take us in their memory and craft, but unfortunately not in this occasion were by this construction. This must also at the expense of their fun? A lot of potential, nice collection but for us not the experience we expected.

  • Enthusiastic volunteers and a lot of fun because the children themselves are allowed to do. Recommended with children to go. At the end of course some goodies in the store now. The exhibition itself is what I think you would be more full. see if there are fewer.
