The cashier is nice, giving a welcome biscuit but only the Dutch visitors. For the children there is a small blade for a voyage of discovery of a sheet is already filled in. The exhibits are exciting. For in-depth information is our Dutch unfortunately too bad and not all the details are translated. The Museum Baker in the chocolate Department is very nice and explains to children what he's doing. The bakers in the bakery ignore us or turn to the Dutch visitors. So we spent an informative hour in the Museum, need but don't come.

Pas geleden de oude bakkerij bezocht met mijn kleinkinderen. Wat een leuke ervaring. De kinderen mogen zelf iets leuks maken en er is ook nog van allerlei lekkers te koop more »The old bakery recently visited with my grandchildren. What a fun experience. The children may itself make something fun and there is also all kinds of goodies for sale
Sonja HoosbeekJune 21, 2017With the ladies billiards chocolates and coffee with a delicious stuffed cake. Delicious museum, go back in time, demonstrations and you walk out the door for some old-fashioned cake and candy buy .... not to mention the delicious chocolate truffles .... mmmm
Willem de LeeuwApril 27, 2017The museum began in 1985 on the occasion of an exhibition of the private collection of Cees de Boer. The farmer was itself bakker in Wadway and his greatest collection was a collection of Baker's stuff. His daughter and son in law Ans Theo pivot, also b, showed early 80 's parts of the collection in the antiquarian room, in the former orphanage of Medemblik. Later they founded together the museum. The museum first opened its doors in 1985 in the Garden Street. The property was a former butcher's shop. In 1988 the museum moved to the current premises on the rue Neuve, the cigar case to the front was rebuilt to bakers shop and the timmerfabriek at the back to bakery. On 4 February 1989 the museum opened the doors again.
Charles van OostvoornJune 7, 2017Interesting and very committed employees. Cosy old-fashioned. Small but nice!
Fam. Van LeussenJanuary 7, 2017We brought recently visited this authentic museum. In our opinion, this museum is victim of its own success. Where to the idea there should be a lot of perception and attention of this ancient craft, we have experienced stress, tension and not so much the experience of the activities, but more only the organization. The water allowed the employees to the lips to keep all the balls high and everyone. The activities were assembly line work with hardly any attention of visitors so the process, but more focused on the product. Questions could only be answered because everything had to be effects to keep it running. We saw bakers with love and passion for the job, who would love to share and tell about this and wanted to take us in their memory and craft, but unfortunately not in this occasion were by this construction. This must also at the expense of their fun? A lot of potential, nice collection but for us not the experience we expected.
Kirsten DoumaFebruary 19, 2017Enthusiastic volunteers and a lot of fun because the children themselves are allowed to do. Recommended with children to go. At the end of course some goodies in the store now. The exhibition itself is what I think you would be more full. see if there are fewer.
