  • just outside of Maastricht lies the St. Pietersberg Hill, known, among other things, of the marl caves, the ENCI, and the hiking and bicycle routes. Unfortunately for us it was bad weather with a lot of rain, so we only visited the marl caves in the Northern system of corridors under the direction of a guide that had a happy Lantern there, because it was pitch black. By the light of his Lantern we got there also a beautiful sight along the walls and we got a good impression of how there marl was won. All in all worth his entrance money anyway, unfortunately it rained at the end still. For a rainy day is certainly a good activity.

  • Today to the caves and the St. Peter's Fort. With a combined ticket you could get a tour of 2 times an hour. Very nice guides. No boring stories but very lively and educational. Also recommended for kids! Guide Marcel and Cindy were top!
