  • Camp Amersfoort is an impressive complex. There's not much about more of the old camp because it has had so many varying functions, but the stories do. You can get a tour (ideally like to discuss in advance) or self looking around on the basis of a map and an information booklet you can walk around. Admission is free for a tour is a donation requested.

  • A special and quiet place where the past is palpable. Absolutely worth a visit.

  • A forgotten camp in Netherlands, Vinod and Westerbork are much better known, but just as crushing Amersfoort left a impression. Especially the shooting range, which as execution place was used in the second world war.

  • Too bad there's nothing left of the camp itself. Some had expected more. But what's left to see is is well worth watching.
