  • As a friend of the "ancient Egyptians", this museum is a must! The variety of off the objects and the presentation are just great. We had a whole day (7 hours) only in the Egyptian Department. On the second day until we have seen the rest of the Museum. The service area (lockers, toilets, restaurants, shop, staff) is far ahead of the German museums.

  • Beautiful location and a great collection. Antiquity comes to life. Especially the exhibition Queens of the Nile was super cool.

  • It seems as this meuseum is located in Leiden, less attention has been paid to that. In regard of Dutch museums, attention mostly is paid to Amsterdam museums. Anyway RVO is a great museum especially for those who are interested in the art of ancient Persia, Mesopotamia and Babylon. The museums holds a great collection of ancient Persian metalworks (from Lorestan province) and potteries. The museum at the moment is preparing for an exhibition related to Egypt.
  • Because I'm a huge fan of history, I really like this museum. You can find almost everything related to ancient Greece and Egypt here. Also, quick overview of Dutch history is here, too. However, some information is written only in Dutch.
  • Great museum to visit, Amazing Egyptian mummies and artifacts. Roman and Greek statues are good as well as an exhibition about swords. Like.
  • Great place to explore acient history from the Romans, Greeks and Egypt. For kids, try one of the quiz. Worth to visit twice or more.
  • One of the best museums ever. The collection is just awesome, and be sure to take the audio tour. You'll pay a little extra but you get a lot of information on the exhibition!
