  • Naturalis is grown. For the occasion, the museum is closed. In the front building they have now because of the advent of the T-rex skeleton a dino exhibition. That exhibition is wonderful, he is super good at each other. Animatronics at the beginning (life-size, moving dinosaurs to walk) and then all sorts of interactive discoveries. Such as: can you cycling faster than a T-rex? Do your own excavation, that sort of thing. Really great. Both our 7-year-old as our almost-4-year-old. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and they all seem to know much of dinosaurs. Also fantastic. Why 3 stars? Because of the price. Entrance 37.50 for two adults and a child older than 4, for an exhibition which is great but also relatively small I find quite a lot of money. Watch also: best book beforehand through the site. They work with start times which you in May (and then you have all the time), and the number of accesses is limited.

  • Everyone knows what a T-rex is and has the animal pictures and film. The reality is still more impressive than all images. There is an exhibition around this beautiful mounted skeleton, which is indeed very instructive. The interactive space (such as faster cycling than a T-rex can run) is very nice. Very suitable for children, but for adults yet also very nice. The exhibition is not large, so a maximum of 1 hour after you have everything well seen and read. The entrance fee is relatively high, but we will say that this is to all costs incurred (excavation, cleaning, preparation skeleton, transport etc). The museum is a 10-minute walk from the Leidse square. So you can also visit the museum before or after the city (to) and use the Naturalis car park (parking fixed price).
