  • The Stedelijk Museum Camps is a museum which is based in Camps (old town hall), where you also have a nice cup of coffee. Since a fire nearly destroyed the old town hall in 1543, features the building itself by a combination of two architectural styles: the lower Rhine Gothic and the Renaissance. The permanent collection of the Stedelijk Museum Camps has four main topics: Water, religion, justice and the House of Orange. A Hall in the museum shows how Camps has become rich by the water, but also how water took care of threat. The old Hanseatic League, the rise and the decline of the Hanseatic town, sea-level rise in our time; Camps with the water. The theme rooms about religion give information on the presence of faith in camps. The old Ships from 1545 Hall is on display and in the theme Hall on governance and law shows how case-law in the middle ages came to pass. Finally belong to the permanent collection, painted portraits of all the Governors and Kings of the House of Orange. Feature of this collection is that the House of Orange from head to toe.

  • The Municipal Museum (Stedelijk Museum) of Kampen is highly recommended - great rooms - meaningful exhibition outline. The location does not match currently (June 2017) map of the marking on the TripAdvisor. The jury room is great.

  • The museum is located in the 14th century town hall was rebuilt in 1543 that Camps after a fire. The style of the building is beautiful lower Rhine Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Inside the museum, I saw photos of Jan Koster and exhibits on water, religion, justice, and House of Orange. The hallway was very beautiful ornamented.

  • If you want a museum with staff that stalks you and makes you feel very uncomfortable this is the place to go. In addition there was so much information to read it took away from the enjoyment of the museum. Nothing was clearly labelled as to where to go in the museum. A lot of the signs with information sat nearly on the floor. The court house section was not available for anyone in a wheelchair or with any sort of walking disability. We thankfully went on a free day as the 6 euros they want for this place is appalling. One of the worst museums I've ever been to.
  • Well worth a visit to the museum

  • Usually when my mother in law and I'm in town for a drink we go this way. Fine staff and delicious coffee and cake!
