Efteling, Kaatsheuvel
(4.6/5 based on 3,400+ reviews on the web)
Once a quaint nature park, Efteling has grown to become a large, fantasy theme park. When it opened in 1952 with a playground and fairytale forest, no one could have predicted that it would evolve to be twice the size of the original Disneyland. While the park remains true to its origins by incorporating elements of fairy tales and folklore into its attractions and entertainment, it now has a total of 36 rides, including four water slides. Take your family on a trip through mythical worlds, enjoy the park's renowned greenery and gardens, and share in the excitement of roller coasters and thrill rides. Take a look at our Kaatsheuvel family vacation planner to schedule your visit to Efteling and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • The atmosphere is fantastic, staff very friendly. De Efteling app gives neat places to which there are open and what the waiting times are. Variety of places, from quiet to wild! Enough toilets throughout the park back and dining occasions. During the Winter Efteling are some places close based on what is good by oa ice rink and cross-country ski run. In addition, wooden cottages where you can get hot drinks bv, live music and large fires. Fairy forest (in the dark) and Aquanoura are highly recommended. The coat of arms of Rave line is our favorite restaurant.

  • The park is very nice like a magical world and there are rides for everyone. Its very easy to access it from Amsterdam. If you go in low seaon is better as we found no queues and we could repeat rides
  • Winter Efteling gives a magical feeling. By on Monday to go few other visitors and more often in anywhere. Controlled fires and small block huts give the real winter feeling. Only downside: parking fee of 10 euro, despite that the tickets already pricey.

  • Very nice theme park. Every ride has its own little theme which makes the park very cosy. There is also a "fairytale forest" specially designed for small children. This, together with easy rides and thrill rides makes this theme park perfect for a family day.
  • Absolutely love the vibe and atmosphere in the Efteling. It is surrounded by beautiful nature, so you get pretty neat views from the top of some attractions. The waiting times might be long (as in any theme park really), but all attractions have a story to tell and aren't your regular rollercoasters. You can try and get on all rollercoasters if you'd like, you could have a stroll through the Sprookjesbos, or maybe take a boat trip through the take.
  • Nice place but FULL of people. I would recommend to prepare in advance where you wanna go because there is a lot of attractions and places to see. I highly recommend Efteling mobile application to get info about attractions, shows and waiting time. And Aquanura is breathtaking. It is the first water show that also use fire I have ever seen.
  • Nice and funny place. Ideal to spend one day with the children. Suggested to come at the opening to enjoy all its areas (it's very big)
  • Awesome themepark with good rollercoasters and excellent theming. A good day out for the whole family, with rides for the little people and the adventures people.
