  • This is off the beaten path for most visitors to the Netherlands, but worth the trip if you ever wondered how NL controls the water that is all around them. Our tour guide, Robert, spoke English very...  more »
  • With local friends here here. Many read about and ever seen from afar. But if you are near there ... the Eiffel Tower horizontally so great. Nice museum that explains how and what. Certainly cost you an hour and a half to look good. Also fun for kids I think, there are many buttons where you can come to. ...

  • Very cool to see the final piece of deltawerken, its purpose to keep the Netherlands above water, a guardian against climate change and the rising sea level.
  • Great place to discover the Dutch battle against the water. First of all the megastructure to close of the river is magnificent. The museum explains everything about the structure next door, the other water blockades in the Netherlands and about the history of water battles in the Netherlands. The museum is very interesting for both adults and children. A lot of interactivity makes it especially interesting for kids.
  • Good place to get to know Dutch water management system
  • Worth a visit for any tourist or local who are in the neighbourhood, or have a rainy day to spare. Exhibition has a lot of information on the Dutch water works, with interesting quick facts
  • This is a nice place to learn about the structures that are built in the Netherlands to protect against the water (focussed on the Maeslandkering). It's not a big place, so it won't take hours to see everything. They have English tours and don't forget to also climb the little mountain next to it the Measlandkering, it's a nice place to make some good pictures.
