  • A nice museum where you get everything explained about the techniques where one works in Hengelo to (e). You can with a button machines themselves in motion or a staff member does it for you. Very nice for families with children between 6 and 14 years

  • Nice museum. Interactive, which is fine for the youth. Many technical ingenuity from the last century, but also by today. So you see again that the technique really in speed the last decades! Or the undersigned is getting older ...

  • On a rainy Sunday with son of 11 years to Hengelo, especially since in this museum could learn and do at the same time. That was idd the case. There is much to see and everywhere things themselves to operate. There were a lot of older men who enthusiastically told about the different museum pieces. Nice that they in this way transfer knowledge to the youth! The third floor was the most enthusiastically received, where a piece of engineering and science is combined with game and automation. The only disappointment of my son was the fact that we were through it ' and that ' a few things were where you should sit on that. And be honest: he was right. As at the entrance is forbidden to stay off ' is that still a hiccup

  • Very nice museum. Highly interactive. We had a great time with the kids (7, 6 and 3).
  • OYFO-technical museum, formerly known under technical museum Heim, gives, on three floors, a clear look at 150 years of industrial development in Twente, partly Hengelo. Various departments, including mechanical engineering with a beautiful triple-expansion steam engine which demonstrated word (compressed air), beautiful diesel engines. Telecom Department with beautiful, old telephone exchanges. Renewed radar and detection Division with many games for the (older) youth. Beautiful, renewed textile Department with working looms. Electro Department with working electric motors. Restaurant for quick snack and snack. Friendly staff, good attendants and guides. A real must for boys and girls, men and women, grandpas and grandmas!!!! Also for the people with no sense of engineering!!!!!!!

  • A must for young and old. A day of Hengelo is not complete without a visit to this lovely and informative museum. There are many opportunities for the youth to be able to come into contact with the technique in a playful manner. Also for every one that ever has worked as a mechanic or technician on a ship or a power plant or otherwise, is the arrival of this museum a moment of recognition. The sound and the typical smell of the machines evoke memories of an era that already for decades behind us. But it is not limited to steam or diesel power. All techniques are very. Hengelo has in the past 150 years a leading role in the technical field. As an aside: there will be next year (2018) ample attention to be paid in Hengelo. Stork, Heemaf, Hazemijer, Denny, David and last, but certainly not the slightest, Dutch Signal were companies that not only national but also world-wide in many ways. Unfortunately, the vast majority of this activity the Hengeloërs deprived in one way or another. But as the saying goes: "Fortunately, we have the photos!", we can say: "Fortunately, we have the HEIM!". Lots of fun when watching and doing.
