Grote Markt, Haarlem

(4.7/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Grote Markt, Haarlem's main square, is lined with famous buildings, as well as bars and restaurants. City hall, Vleeshal, Hoofdwacht, and Grote Kerk all border the square. See Hoofdwacht, which was built in the 13th century and is generally regarded as the oldest building in Haarlem. If you're able to visit on a weekend, enjoy the busy market that takes over with vendors selling a range of goods. • Beautiful central place with big Church, plenty of restaurants, etc. some buildings are not completely in harmony and disturb the picture.

  • Yes there you on this beautiful square, where your father and grandfather also a beer drunk and even sold words shoot too short ...

  • This large square lies with some real Haarlem attractions such as the great Church, the archaeological museum and the Vishal. The square is car-free and there are several shopping streets. the Grote houtstraat are the established shops and the short Spring Street and small Houstraat is the alternate part. Here are also the better Haarlem restaurants as well as to the Green market. On the square itself are some terraces. On Mondays and Saturdays there is a market. Stay away if it is Fair.
