Groninger Museum, Groningen
(4.2/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Housed in three pavilions, each designed by a different architect, Groninger Museum displays modern and contemporary art. The museum opened in 1874, but the current construction wasn't completed until 1994. Take in the distinct pavilions, a silver cylindrical building, a yellow tower, and a blue deconstructivist space. These structures merge seamlessly into one museum located on the canal. Explore the museum to see local, national, and international works of art. If you'd like a more in-depth understanding of the exhibits, choose from one of the several tours offered. Put Groninger Museum and other Groningen attractions into our Groningen trip builder, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Nice paintings exhibition but I'm more of a man. Many plaster casts and bronze. With the museum's annual pass 5 euros but solo 19 peak. Be expensive. 0

  • Beautiful exhibition, though slightly smaller than I expected. Many plaster casts and less bronze, which I had hoped.
