Where to stay in Eindhoven

Despite its popularity with international soccer crowds and business travelers, Eindhoven rarely runs out of affordable places to stay. The most expensive district remains the city center, where spacious rooms come with access to fine restaurants, shops, and spa and fitness facilities. For a less expensive stay near Eindhoven's major attractions, check out the city's guesthouses, which offer cozy rooms and modern amenities at a fraction of the price charged by the hotel chains. The surrounding villages provide additional choices, including good-value hostels and campgrounds.

  • Definitely a must see museum. This is the proud place if Eindhoven. Where the story of Philips started. A great piece for the technology history  more »
  • This was recommended to me by a colleague, as Philips employees get free entry to the museum. There is a lot of history to be learnt and a nice cafe and gift shop. Great place to go if you are staying...  more »
  • Quite baffling, how humble was the beginning of this electronics giant. The inside is AMAZING. Vibrant, informative, well-put-together. Definitely was worth the 9eur entry fee!  more »

  • Enjoyable musuem documenting the history of Philips. Some good interactive displays for kids. Small gift shop and restaurant also on site.
  • Great museum if you're into technology. Lots of old equipment which you'll suddenly remember you had when younger!
  • Charming small museum. It is interesting but can be improved. One could expect a bit more of a great brand with so much history (and after paying € 8 ). It can be seen in just over an hour. It basically consists of a collection of old branding appliances and historical photographs. The visitor interested in the history of technology might expect somewhat more technical explanations. Very close to the museum (about two minutes walking) is the great public library of Eindhoven, a visit I would recommend.
  • It was a nice experience, I learned some things about the history of Phillips. I really enjoyed the modern part of the museum where they scan your body and show different parameters about the human anatomy.
  • Enjoy philips from past to 21 century. I like interactive games inside of building.
