  • Very interesting place. We are a family of four, children aged 8 and 10 (boy and girl). Some excellent rooms displaying war time artifacts to the local flora and fauna. We had a tour with Hein who spoke good English and was very knowledgeable on Dutch history. I would definitely recommend taking the time and have the tour you will learn so much more. Very good value for money and the children also enjoyed it.
  • Pretty spooky. Worth a look but wouldn't go out of your way
  • Interesting place. Which is certainly worth a visit is the radio room and the flora and fauna lineups. There is quite a lot of effort into it and it's interesting for children.

  • Fort near Edam in 1913, is a beautiful, almost underground fort, which overlooks the Lake IJsselmeer and the polder Zeevang. Nearby, the wooden house and the genius shed. It is the first of the list that is part of the stelling van Amsterdam. Therefore, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to the fort. Unfortunately, closed. Fort has very limited and clumsy opening hours: every Wednesday from 10:30 to 15:00. Entrance: €3.50. Visit in preparation for, or in place of, the website. Visited October, 2016
