  • Cycling (electric bike!) around the area on a hot day this was a delightful place to stop off for a cooling drink and a rest in the central courtyard. We didn't investigate the inside of the castle bu...  more »

  • We often visit castles. This is a very simple one with some nice rooms but no decadence ;) They also have some nice interactive thing to do. Not worth a very long visit, at most 2 hours  more »

  • Three museums in one, although you might not realize it. The castle is rich in history, and was completely rebuilt from the post-WW2 ruin over the course of almost four decades. The museum gives you insights into the life at the time, how ownership changed, and how foresting and hunting was essential over the centuries. Well maintained, accepts the national museum card, and nice area nearby for a hilly walk. Free and ample parking.
  • The castle was rebuilt in the 80's and 90's. Not original. Definitely a cool experience, but I'm sure there are better castles out there
  • Nice castle hidden away from the highway. Our former king william the IIIth used it frequently when hunting the area.
  • Impressive, very nice and properly taken care of. Explanations in several languages.
  • Gretig museum in a great castle.
