  • On 20 January to Huis Doorn with museum card holders for the theme tour German princes of Orange-On honeymoon by Huis Doorn. Nice explanation during the free tour of the (double) family tree of the House of Orange. So there is a Dutch and a German branch of the House of Orange. Because we were an extra (also free) guided tour taken by the huis Doorn. We were shown around by a super enthusiastic Guide (volunteer) of 86 years old!!! who love did with humor and a good explanation where time for was taken. We enjoyed the visit to Huis Doorn. A must for everyone. Annelies and Andre, Almere

  • Beautiful surroundings, pleasant to drink in the spacious stables and a fine dinner of beautifully set table. All aunts and uncles moved to for hot lunch. A delicious steak or moot cod. Unique in this setting. After lunch, a walk through the Imperial domain. Top.

  • The German Emperor Wilhelm II lived from 1920 until his death in 1941 as exiled in Huis Doorn. The Interior is largely in original condition. During the tour be all kinds of interesting facts and anecdotes told. In the Pavilion there is an interesting exhibition about daily life in the Netherlands during the first world war.

  • Huis Doorn is definitely worth it if you want to learn more about the bizarre history of Wilhelm II. Chop down trees every day, a hand that functioned quite well (see you back at the scope), the dogs buried in the garden etc. The rich history of Huis Doorn is perhaps deficit done by the lavish attention to Wilhelm II. That, for example, Audrey Hepburn here often on family visit went you can find anywhere. In the beautiful garden you can enjoy hiking. And for a snack, there is a tea house. The many volunteers of Huis Doorn deserve a a thick plume.

  • A particular museum, where very much to see and to learn about the 1st World War. Our female guide had a knowledge where you "you" against says. A must for every young person, a history booklet brings out the missing here. We will definitely go back there, also through the beautiful park by walking.
