  • Very spectacular building! It's almost hard to believe how long this road is and especially how straight it is. It disappears into the horizon. To go on this should be experienced while trying to take in just how much work that is behind this design.

  • By dumb luck in the information center of the Department of public works. Despite being officially closed was private tour with all information about the new plans for the Afsluitdijk. This is really very worthwhile. Info about the visdoorgang made are going to be in the Afsluitdijk, the plans for the main restaurant with beach to the friesland side, changes at the monument and the new lock next to the existing lock that transit should go to large sea-going vessels. 3D tour had from 6 mins in which you through some kind of drone is taken through the air on the new plans and underwater so you can see what the effects are for the fish migration. Bere interesting. and the use of the new blue energy. Now you can all still in the info Center view. Eventually you can outside of a walk of about 2.5 hours.

  • It bekomnt an approximate idea of the deprivation, which previously had to take workers up until this century building was finished. Photos and brochures at the lunchroom "Het monument" in the look-out Tower

  • Can only recommend driving this route if you get the chance! It's so beautiful.
  • Highly impressive what human spirit and workforce can do! Visit the café at the tower and have a look at the video and on the pictures!
  • It's amazing to see how the Dutch tried to play God - and succeeded.
  • Fantastic view point and cafe is great
