  • A long dam with no charme and nothing to see. If you are in the east willing to go to Amsterdam it is a quite good shortcut but it's not worth a visit.  more »
  • This is one of these sites that are fascinating for engineering geeks, but for "regular people" it's just like standing on a bridge. I was hoping for more background info to make the story come alive ...  more »
  • The Afslutdijk alone is impressing. The watchtower to look at the Sea on both sides is great, but to really get the feeling you have to go downstairs! This little gem of a quite normal sailors restaur...  more »

  • Fantastic place. Rally enjoyed it. The sun was shining but the wind was strong. Dutch showed again they are best at maintaining the SEA. The view is spectacular, So was the drive. Spend some quality time & really worth to pay a visit. :)
  • Impressive location with a beautiful view. Even though you can't apprehend how big the project was, especially for the time it was built in, you still feel the giant leap for the dutch resonating in the air. This place breathes the dutch history and capabilities. Too bad there's a busy road, but then again, that was one of the purposes.
  • A great achievement in Dutch history. There is 1 good place to see and discover the history of the Afsluitdijk (The tower). Also a good spot to make some nice pictures
  • Lovely, beautiful and scenic. With lots of harmless mosquitoes during summer but an awesome sight to behold.
  • The place is not so well taken care of, nevertheless its an impressive engineering piece of work and a good view from the tower. it deserves the visit.
