  • A strange combination, aquarium and military history. But it appears to be working! The kids really liked it. The Guide Marcel was so enthusiastic and had to tell very much about the history and construction history of the fort. Of the aquarium was like that it is a time not beautiful exotic fish were, but what Pm heenzwemt Den Helder. Kids liked it that the fish may be also conducted.

  • The exhibition is quite nice, but worth the admission price, drive rather in the Navy Museum there is more available and more interesting (from about 6 years), if one of the naval history is interested in (E.g. walk-in submarine).

  • On the eye an illogical combination, but in the Fort Kijkduin they make that true. The fort, built at the instigation of Napoleon and also used by the German army in the 2nd World War, shows both the one as the other. Full size dioramas, show how the crew of the fort lived in early 1800. Goal: Den Helder's seaport protect against raids from the English. Strange thought French troops who fight an English invasion on Dutch beaches ... Weapons, large and small, newspapers from the beginning of the second world war; a large collection of masters of that time plus a large diorama on dish from the French/English struggle to Den Helder. And then the aquarium, 12 well-appointed baking provides a picture of what lives in the North Sea around the fort. Especially nice in the low bake with rays that come to the surface to greet you when you get your fingers in the water. And then the sperm whale; in the 1990s and washed up on the beach died. By lovers carefully cleaned and exhibited in its full length. Worth it!

  • Very nice view from this place, good pokemon place and the museum is very nice to go into as well. A little marine aquatic life view in short, all this in an old WWII fort.
  • Beautifully located fortress from the 19th century commisioned by Napoleon. Here is also an Aquarium with fishes from the Northsea.
  • I found it a bit neglected. Nevertheless the overall experience is nice.
  • Set in the most beautiful area of Den Helder. It is work checking out
  • The underground tunnels are so cool.
