  • Interesting history but marred by very poor reproductions, some of the film was completely out of focus. A real shame as Vermeer is the most famous historical resident of Delft.

  • Although the painting you will see in this museum are replicas, this is the only place you will see ALL of Vermeer's work. Delft is a small city, but full of exciting places to see. The famous painter...  more »

  • Great little museum about Vermeer, the dutch painter that lived in Delft. Visit takes around 1/2hours. Shop is very nice and has a lot of stuff, also a cafe. Downstairs they have a permanent exposition on the guy, painting, history... Upstairs there is a 'technical' exposition on vermeer techniques. This is what really makes the visit worth it!
  • First of all: this is not a museum with original paintings. These originals are in museums around the world and very expensive. In this center you will see all his paintings as reproductions with information. A very good audio tour tells you more about the paintings. Upstairs is a floor that explains how Vermeer used the magic of light. Very well done! And don't forget to have coffee with apple pie in the small seating area downstairs.
  • Nice museum. The paintings are not original but reproductions. There is an e-guide at the place. You get to learn the techniques and stories behind the paintings.
  • Decent. Take out the audio guides. But don't expect to see paintings. All reprints
  • Beautiful!!
