  • Even though you need to think whether you want to promote your own village in relation to the rest, I think it is still worth to tell that the Mature really a beautiful village is where you can spend an afternoon, day or weekend. The village has 4 good restaurants on the square kilometres (coat of arms of Coin star, Oudejans, the judge and at Ernst), all with its own atmosphere and character. Characteristic of these restaurants is that everywhere the operation very well and that you is received for nice people. That you see throughout the village, we salute each other even if you encounter each other in the village. It says something about the atmosphere. Walking especially through the small estates and the old village center. Very charming and with characteristic "Zaanse schans-like" houses. At the tourist office you can pick up a walking tour and puzzle tour and thus the village visit. In addition it is cruising through a Eilandspolder recommended. Speed Devils, not so much for people who love to look ' different ' from the water. I would say, come along. The best way to get to know the village is to be able to stay in the warehouse and delicious in one of the restaurants to eat. Visit the village during the day and you're going to go home with a great feeling. See you soon in The Ripe

  • Very pretty town in the suburbs of Amsterdam, with many old buildings, canals, interesting sights. If you want to get acquainted with the culture of the country, be sure to stop here! Nice place, quiet and cozy. We really liked it.

  • Before four or three decades living in the Netherlands, was one of the province of North Holland and the towns de Rijp, Edam, and brands to my Dutch favorites. During a recent visit, all three were able to convince even though it looks in de Rijp now much cleaner than in the past. One gets the impression that prosperity has risen significantly, because almost all the houses appear very well renovated. The appearance has not changed however, so continue to the densely crowded construction of brick houses with wood trim the dark green, white-framed gable and red roof tiles still characterizes the townscape. This looks cute, if reflected in the Canal houses. In the winter, if peace prevails here without any tourists, a paradise continues to de Rijp, once you got here from the busy Randstad. And if you have enough time, the statue of the most famous citizen of the 17th century see, those of Jan Janse de Weltevree, who as a castaway stranded in Korea in 1627, henceforth played a significant role in the Court of the former dynasty and did not return. The statue is impressive and represents a figure of the time, interspersed with high tech products – very succeeded!
