  • For children a fun quest through the indoor museum! Outside you can consult anywhere what makes it interesting. It may be a bit more interactive but it is well worth a visit!

  • Today a visit to this museum. It is (unfortunately) the last day of the exhibition "from girl to woman". A very impressive photo and information exhibition about the Masai girls in Kenya. Hopefully, this exhibition still along other museums. Also for the secondary schools would be in a shortened version a must! Photographer Anja Ligtenberg late guitarist, how different Masai communities an alternative ritual was developed for the transition from girl to woman. Also, in both the indoor and outdoor museum to see how good it is with in the various countries in Africa for example, religion, ways of life and magic. The museum is also accessible for disabled persons. In the restaurant you can order a number of things, for example, coffee or a lunch. In the period from 1 november to 1 april 2016 2017 the museum is closed.

  • This museum was already times on our list to visit. There were two temporary exhibitions in addition to the permanent collection. We were missing some rooms ' for example, a film about a particular topic (lifestyle, food, music and dance e. d) could see and then the objects could view. There was too much information. The outdoor museum also has more challenge.

  • Africa closer that You can imagine! :) Our visit there was excellent. At the reception they accept Euro
  • An interesting museum about contemporary African culture, focussing on a selection of 5 countries (Benin, Ghana, Cameroon, Lesoto, +1). The exhibits are actual size buildings with authentic interiors. Since they are mostly outside, only go when the weather is nice. Great fun with kids!
  • An okay museum. The houses outside pretty much only exist to be looked at, there's no more informational depth inside whatsoever. The special exhibitions are usually pretty interesting.
  • Nice. Not an museum I could spend a whole day in, but still interesting. It would have been more fun if they make it more interactive. Also, there's a lack of information when visiting the African houses.
  • I found not so much. I think it's fine if they say that you are not allowed to eat in, but in a some friendly show.
