  • A beautiful museum with various exhibits. We were there in particular for the exhibition on the former Director and curator Pierre Jansen. Still very apparent. The museum is a bit higher than the environment so that one has a magnificent view over the Rhine. Oök the Museum café is very worth it.

  • I'm in January 2014 and the works of art in the Museum Arnhem resonated very much with me! I was very touched by the magic realism of Carel Willink and his art work keep me still working! I'm then also more frequently see him works of art and was very interest! Thanks to his art I am different to reality and I see more opportunities. Also, I am very inspired by the visit of the Museum Arnhem! I also found the location very special of the portion where you could drink. The view over the River was very special and I felt very pleasant! I have had a very nice afternoon together with my parents and very much look forward to your next visit!

  • If you go to Arnhem thinks your thoughts quickly forward to the open air museum, the Zoo, "the battle of Arnhem", source stream. However, once the station turn right and go visit after a 10-minute walk (or one stop (trolley) bus 1) the Museum Arnhem. The built in 1873 "men's society" was almost 100 years ago as museum. The building is fantastic on the moraine of the Veluwe with wide views over the Rhine and the flood plain (from the café and garden). To October 2017 is there to see the exhibition on HAVOC, an artist duo that for more than 40 years on a very wide art area (fashion, painting, sculpture, design, etc.). Definitely worth it!! After October the museum some time close for a thorough renovation! The small museum café is a convenient place for a cup of coffee or a fine lunch.

  • Amazing small gallery that is very well layer out
  • I really didn't like it. There wasn't too much to see, nothing really interesting, quite expensive, bad vibe, negative attitude from staff... Yuck
  • Museum Arnhem is an amazing museum: it contains a beautiful collection of modern art, contemporary art, applied art and design.
  • Nice sculpture garden
  • Interesting collection

Where to stay in Arnhem

Although many visitors to Arnhem end up choosing a centrally located hotel near the main train station, you can find plenty of equally comfortable rooms farther away from this busy part of town. For easy access to the surrounding countryside, check out the guesthouses and self-catering apartments on the outskirts of town, where you can get a quiet night's sleep and take advantage of free parking. Alternatively, visit Arnhem from the nearby city of Nijmegen, which offers a greater variety of mid-range hotels and family-run inns.
