  • This small animal park has quite nice animal species in the collection. Some units, however, are old-fashioned, small and with little enrichment for the animals. They are aware of this and are working to improve this. Very well laid out, simple but good signage. There is no theme and the animal species seem random. It's nice that you also between the animal species, including the maras, kangaroos can go through. At the entrance sits a restaurant but that they are now growing. Half way through the park is a kind of snack bar, they're selling hot and cold drinks, French fries and snacks, candy and sweets. The lion Foundation is here as well. You can do a tiger workshop. The proceeds are used to the goals of the Foundation, bringing back animals to the semi wild in Africa. Fun park for a day trip.

  • Wonderful to walk around there and quiet everything, people are very friendly and what they have put down there is fantastic. Also what they do at stichting lion is great, since I make a deep bow. If you're in the neighborhood or even if you just further away, you just go here and see for themselves what all these people have done. What I said before ... ... DEEP RESPECT!!!!!! and am happy that I adopt and thus also can contribute.

  • Hiking in an extensive landscaped park, where the animals have all the space. The hunt simulator is a true gain. Only from the small coffee shop you can sitting watching.

  • This park has more of a natural feeling with plenty of forest and many animals to see. Some of them even roam freely around.
  • Great for kids. Better than the commercial zoo's.
  • Pretty big zoo in Den Helder. Each animal have enough space so they seem to live naturally. Many different kinds of animals from across the world. Not so smelly except lion corner. There's play tools for kids,i.g.balloon sand so both adults and kids can enjoy there.
  • This place cares a lot about it's animals. Great place, much better than most zoo's in The Netherlands.
  • Very nice little zoo with alpacas, crocodiles, makis, and other interesting species. Ideal with kids, makis and parrots actually sit on your head! Place has minimal food options, entry cost 30 eur for a family of 4. Free wifi all over the place.
