  • I like walking and living on the Western Canal belt. I love the westerpark. A ' rich ' and good design that really for the enjoyment of the people was decorated. The development of activities in the former factory spaces are i.p. fine, until the 't ' for the people ' to go. And I think that happens now. There would be now even a hotel. In the building that are quite close to the water flow for children and therefore also is close to the original intention of the park: enjoy the weekend families there sitting in the grass, picnic and play kids hang. A hotel is not ' public ', also gives a lot of traffic (supply and removal of amenities, staff and hotel guests) and traffic in a city park and nota bene in the 21st century does not seem to be a combi. The evening also gives more noise and light and is therefore also not natural. The city of Amsterdam would be the example of Hyde Park and Central Park must follow: for all nature, enjoy outdoor.

  • Beautiful spot in the summer for a picnic and some edibles. Great events all year round in the round Silo Event centre thing.. It's a cool spot
  • A great park to the west of Amsterdam. It's tranquility and rest is threatened by an increasing number of"events". It's important to maintain its character without too many festivals and concerts.
  • A great night out. Drinks flowed. Service was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cloakroom was free but queues were long. A bit of a walk from the drop off point. A fantastic venue for a large event.
  • Very nice park with regular exhibitions, markets, events and festivals. It also has shops, restaurants, an art-house cinema, a brewery and a dance club. There is also a cultural daycare for 0 to 4 years old children.
  • I had lived near this park and have been to many parks in Netherlands for the last 3 years. I would say that this is the best park in Netherlands. so cozy and peaceful :)! when its sunny, grab some beer with snacks and seat somewhere in the park. You will miss the moments a lot in the future!
